We have assembled a team of dedicated staff to look after your dental needs. This team is enthusiastic, energetic and passionate about Family Dentistry. The full-time dentists are dedicated professionals who attend courses, congresses, lectures and study groups. They practise child-friendly, safe, honest, gentle, pain-free, mercury-free and reliable dentistry, using state-of-the-art materials.

Dr Jonathan Cohen

A born and bred Capetonian who matriculated at Herzlia High school in 1981. He qualified as a dentist in 1987 at Stellenbosch University, after which he practised for 2 years in the SADF running numerous dental surgeries in the Northern Cape.

He opened his first private practice in 1990 in the Cape Town city centre. 1994 saw the opening of the Milnerton Practice together with Dr David Sheinbar. Since 1999 he has concentrated solely on this Milnerton practice.

In 2002 and 2003 he completed a postgraduate diploma in Paediatric Dentistry at Stellenbosch University and served as a member of staff training undergraduate students in paediatric dentistry.

He practices as a general dentist but has a special interest in paediatric dentistry.

He lives in Milnerton and is married to Sharyn, and has 2 children, a daughter Alex and a son Zac.

For the past 5 years he has been heavily involved in coaching junior soccer in the Table View area.

Dr David Sheinbar – President of BNI Ratanga chapter

Born in Cape Town and matriculated at Herzlia High School. He studied Dentistry at The University of The Witwatersrand; qualifying as a Dentist in 1988. He married his wife, Mandy, just before Graduation and served two years in the SADF as a Medical Lieutenant at 2 Military Hospital in Wynberg. They have three wonderful children, Michaela, Nathan and Devin.

He started his private practice in 1990 in the city centre and opened his Milnerton practice with Dr Jonathan Cohen in 1994. He studied part-time for a Post-Graduate Diploma in Advanced Clinical Dentistry at Stellenbosch University in 2003, qualifying with distinction. Subjects that interested him included Implants and Endodontics.

His outside interests include golf, running, gym, music and gardening and he watches his sons play sport whenever he gets a chance! Community service also keeps him busy. His main focus at work includes: Prevention, Endodontics, Cosmetic Dentistry and Implantology

He is interested in preventing the destruction of tooth structure caused by grinding and chemical erosion from juices, energy drinks and soft-drinks….. COKE! He is in direct contact with the author of the book on Tooth-Whitening. The prevention of snoring is also an area that he is involved in at present, developing a mandibular- repositioning device that reduces snoring in 80% of sufferers.
